Role Overview:
The Game Developer role is a key position within our student engineering team, responsible for designing and developing engaging and immersive environments. As a Game Developer, you will work closely with other team members to create and implement simulator mechanics, user interfaces, and interactive experiences. This role requires a strong passion for gaming, excellent programming skills, and a creative mindset to bring unique ideas to life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and implement game mechanics, controls, and features.
- Develop and maintain code, implement artificial intelligence, physics, and user interfaces.
- Debug and optimize game performance to ensure smooth gameplay experience.
- Create and integrate audio, visual effects, and animations into the game.
- Develop VR simulator in C++ or Blueprint in Unreal Engine.
- Conduct testing of the simulator to identify and rectify behaviours.
- Attend and engage in weekly team meetings.
- Commit 10-15 hours per week to the team.
Who we are looking for:
Requirements:
- Have experience in programming languages such as C++ or C#.
- Experience with game development engines, such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with game design concepts and principles.
- Understanding of software development principles and practices.
